Install Linux on Android Phone
Linux on Android is an ongoing project that
attempts to slot the Linux operating system to
Android. It consist of an installer that installs a
complete Linux system distribution on an Android
system without removing Os from it. Once you
have the distro up and running you can pretty
much run and install any Linux system software
you like, provided there is an ARM slot or the
application is not architecturally dependent.
The project currently has specialist for Debian,
Ubuntu and Backtrack. You can expect to see
some Linux system submission, probably some
lightweight ones, later on. There is a no cost app
for each Linux system distro and a compensated
app for Ubuntu and Backtrack (each priced at
£0.99) and a Complete paid app (£2) which
features all reinforced distros and will always
consist of any upcoming distros. The no cost
applications consist of everything you need but the
paid applications consist of a one click boot
feature and quicker downloading.
To run Linux on Android you need a reasonable
phone with at least a 1GHz bprocesser, a lot of
RAM and 300MB of free space.
